Editorial standards

How an article gets from draft to published on The Pawdoor.

Health articles are vet-reviewed

No article about animal health goes live until a qualified veterinarian who is one of our partners has read it and signed it off. Their name and the review date appear at the top of the article.

Behaviour articles are reviewed by a specialist

Articles on behaviour and training are reviewed by a partner vet or a partner behaviourist, and credited in the same way.

Welfare, news and gear articles

These are written by our team or by partners. Gear guides may contain affiliate links, which are labelled. See our affiliate disclosure.

What a review does not mean

A review checks that an article is accurate and responsible. It is not advice about your own animal. If you are worried about an animal's health or behaviour, please see a veterinarian who can examine them.

Corrections

If you spot something that looks wrong, write to thepawdoor@srvsummit.com and we will look at it promptly.
